Ben joined the Board at the time of our flotation in 1997 and his advice and guidance over the past 10 years has been an essential ingredient to our success. The Board would like to thank Ben for the enormous contribution he has made and to wish him a long and enjoyable retirement. ComputerLand is delighted to announce the appointment of Giles Vardey (age 51) as a non-executive Director effective from 3 September 2007. Giles brings to the Board extensive experience in both City and managerial roles. A graduate of Oxford University, Giles has spent over 25 years in financial services holding senior positions in major investment banks including Salomon Brothers, County Natwest and Swiss Bank Corporation. Between 1992 and 1997, he served on the main board of the London Stock Exchange leading the successful implementation of the electronic trading system (SETS) and the creation of AIM in 1995. After that he became CEO of Fidelity Brokerage Services and then Greig Middleton & Co. Limited, the UK's largest private client stock broking business and was on the board of the parent company Gerrard PLC. He became chairman of Hunter-Fleming Limited in 2001, a private pharmaceutical development company and more recently, he was Chairman of CQS, one of Europe's leading hedge funds and has advised a number of fast growing technology companies. He is currently a non-executive Director of Plus Markets Group Plc and is a member of the Securities Institute (MSI), and has served in the past on the Securities Trading Committee of the London Investment Banking Association, and on the APCIMS Europe Committee. He remains chairman of Hunter-Fleming Limited and he is also chairman of Trident Gaming Ltd and chairman of the Boat Race Company Limited, which organises the annual Oxford and Cambridge University Boat Race. AGM Trading Update Trading during the first three months of our financial year has been mixed. Our Managed Services, Project Services and Product Supply businesses have performed well with sales and profits in line with our expectations and significantly ahead of the corresponding period last year. Strong results from these three business units have, however, been off set by a poor performance from our Hardware Maintenance business. Within Hardware Maintenance we have experienced a combination of lower sales and higher costs than we expected. These issues are being addressed and we expect the performance of our Hardware Maintenance business to improve as we progress through the year. Overall we remain optimistic of a satisfactory outcome for the year as a whole.
