       Approach to Intelligent Energy Holdings plc ("Intelligent Energy")

We note the announcement made by Intelligent Energy today, and confirm that
Clerkenwell has made a formal approach to the board of Intelligent Energy. This
approach and any possible offer is subject to commercial, legal and financial
due diligence and Clerkenwell shareholder approval. Discussions with Intelligent
Energy are therefore at an early stage, although the board has indicated that it
does not currently regard the terms of the approach as sufficiently attractive.
There is no certainty whether these discussions will result in any formal offer
being made.

A further announcement will be made in due course.
