                                Result of EGM                                 

The board of Carisbrooke announces the result of today's Extraordinary General
Meeting called to approve the arrangements between Antilope Investments and
the directors of Carisbrooke made in connection with the Offer for Carisbrooke
by Antilope Investments and referred to in the Offer document dated 23 June
1999.  On a poll vote the resolution was duly passed.

Carisbrooke Shareholders are reminded that the first closing date for the
Offer is 3.00 pm on Wednesday 14 July 1999.

This announcement has been approved by Rowan Dartington & Co. Limited ("Rowan
Dartington") for the purposes of Section 57 of the Financial Services Act
1986.

The directors of Carisbrooke accept responsibility for the information
