30/11/2004 11:13 | Dell - do you know the % for MM holdings of AIM stocks? | ![]() jabberstocky
30/11/2004 11:11 | Thanks Dell, was just trundling thro MM rules on the LSE web site and well I never, its not allowed to: do any act or engage in the course of conduct which creates a false or misleading impression as the market in or the price or value of a stock nor to trade at a price which differs to an unreasonable extent to that quoted nor to engage in any act or course of conduct the sole or main intention of which is to move the price of that security. | ![]() jabberstocky
30/11/2004 11:00 | Jabberstocky - Over 3%: notify LSE only Over 10% gets an RNS also, so we hear about it(5% for FTSE350). 1% increments Rgds dell | ![]() dell314
30/11/2004 10:54 | Thanks I'll see if I can find out. | ![]() jabberstocky
30/11/2004 10:51 | There is, but I don't know if its the 3% threshold that applies to everyone or higher. | mike crowsoft
30/11/2004 10:47 | They've been hoovering up DTC since June. Are there any requirements on MMs to state the size of their positions? | ![]() jabberstocky
30/11/2004 10:46 | jabber I don't know! I don't know whats on their trading book, just that they've been told to downscale in an appropriate manner by da management. If you look at ARX for example,I always thought they had a big long position in that,as they were usually the most aggressive, but there they are today doing the same. | mike crowsoft
30/11/2004 10:42 | Micro: what are EVO up to with DTC? | ![]() jabberstocky
30/11/2004 10:35 | dell - Goodness knows - Last week was a classic on the EPO thread when he was going to hold to 3p then sold 10 mins later ..... then bought some more... | ![]() double6
30/11/2004 10:18 | dell as you know, RLs plans tend to last upto 10 minutes sometimes. | mike crowsoft
30/11/2004 10:05 | d6 - I thought he was planning to hold the rest... Rgds dell | ![]() dell314
30/11/2004 09:59 | (Awaiting to see the price of the next 1m sell in LEG) | ![]() double6
30/11/2004 09:58 | I'm not actually trading at the minute! (And with RL's demise I may keep it that way). It's a risky game! | ![]() double6
30/11/2004 09:57 | d6 - So did I! It may well bounce very nicely but it could also pop. With a lot of the share price slashing going on, I'm wary of preserving capital at the moment, so am less inclined to hoover up big fallers.... CPM bounced quite well, but I can't really see any attraction in that with a large write off due and balance sheet heading for negative shareholder's funds again. Are you still getting good results from DCBs? Rgds dell | ![]() dell314
30/11/2004 09:52 | Thanks mick, makes sense. Surely there is more to this than meets the eye, considering the 'back of a lorry' reputation of our friends at evo? | ![]() wal footrot
30/11/2004 09:44 | wal Maybe. I prefer to look at stocks they are in and try and pick up a bargain.(like SAR). They have no funding difficulties and are not forced sellers of anything;its just an internal policy to try and reduce positions if possible. They are not stupid and won't be desperate sellers at any price. If anything, they would appreciate the irony of putting on a massive short squeeze on a stock which everyone was trying to short anticipating their sales. Thats the reason I havn't dared short their own stock,as everyone else seems to be doing. | mike crowsoft |
