2 of each, which are seemingly more expensive than a 3 letter combination.

They were also common letters which are popular and dearer.

Ideally, you need to be named Xaviar Quinten Zombie, and be 194 years old to be able to snaffle up a bargain.

I got outbid at the auction.

I was asked to pay upto £4000 (+25% costs) for a number plate that sold for £5300.

In hindsight, perhaps a few days before xmas is not a good time to be a buyer of number plates.

Those of you coming to the end of optiromper and Knowing's texts on posting vacuous nonsense may like to consider some ramping ideas for the more technically advanced students.

Here's bbbb demonstrating the "techno-obsfucation method" and how it can be used to deal with any cheeky monkeys that suggest your chosen stock may be running a tad short of readies:

FLC - 8 Dec'04 - 08:55 - 262 of 265

There must be something fairly imminent because the cash position as at June was critical and despite closing the Vredendal plant to reserve cash there would have been associated one off costs for closing this down.

Even if they are granted the loan guarantees from Italy for new plant they will still need capital so hopefully the corporate deal that has been mentioned is just around the corner - fingers crossed!

bbbb - 8 Dec'04 - 09:42 - 263 of 265

there's been a lot of currency volatility over the period these shares have
been traded, and with money raised at differing exchange rates and the bermuda domicile, but accounts produced in sterling, 'foreign currency translation reserve' shown in the balance sheet may not be easily understood, but it may not neccessarily indicate lack of availability of money at some point - like the factory disposal..

dell314 - 8 Dec'04 - 09:44 - 264 of 265 edit

LOL!

Isn't zero the same in all currencies??

depends how many follow the integer!.

and the currency denomination.

for example, zimbabwe dollars tend to be rich in the zero department,
but somewhat poorer on the purchasing parity..

Most kind.

However, my lot is on at about 10.45am and I've managed to beg them to give me special dispensation on this occasion.

Many thanks for the offer though.

Right then Beastie, you've had the knock back from 2 Northern Residents which leaves little old me. Now, with a fair wind (and a good grasp of my lucky rabbits foot) I could be in yon spot in about 1.5hrs.

The ball, Sir, is in your court.

H.
