James - LOL!

Rgds
the contrarian

P.S. There's at least a couple of week timescale for tracker funds to make the change, to maintain an orderly market.

Hedge funds etc are aware of which stocks are most likely to be included in the ftse100 well ahead of almost everyone else.

They have been buying up the shares in the last few weeks knowing that they will have a guarenteed outlet in the weeks to follow.

This always happens with newly included shares, which often heralds a peak in their price.

Look at recent inclusions for evidence...Cairn Energy is the one I recall without looking them up.

dan - I am not the most clued up on such matters, but if all indications point to a surge isn't it a tad risky to short ?

done a little research, tomkins look set to chucked out the footsie leaving the way clear for tate to return, all based on yesterdays closing prices and tate appeared to be ramped up across yesterday for this reason.

so now the qualifying period has passed and what with the ex divi, tates price does not need to remain high in order to get into the ftse, its pretty much a done deal, when they do go back you will have all the tracker funds buying there stock so another surge is likely then.

in the meantime however... a drift?

As a former sugarbeast, I abhor all shorting of sugar related stocks.

ex divi should not be causing the current drop, either a buying op or the bubbles burst.

Ivor

If you want to type bold, I know what you do.

If you only want to highlight a certain bit of a paragraph, how do you stop the bold bit ?

Thats what I meant Crowsfeet.

The order is small, but the word will be out that the product and business is viable.

IMO, a potential 3.86 bagger for next year. I ain't selling for a long time.
