05/2/2008 12:47 | Just tried to buy 10K and couldn't, but they were offering 46p for mine stock instead... | wikroberts
05/2/2008 12:44 | "This is ridiculously cheap now anyways" Perhaps, although my take was that it was liable to go bust | the_doctor
05/2/2008 12:41 | This is ridiculously cheap now anyways! | fivepounds
05/2/2008 12:38 | Dr Biotech I can give you an example and its this one it went from 5p to £1.50 (after consolidation!) so anything is possible lol!. Reality suggests a doubling to current price would be good! | fivepounds
05/2/2008 12:36 | I also believe a bid over £1 easily because in old price terms thats still only 3.3p and when this was at 14p in old price or so even takeover talks were rumoured then! | fivepounds
05/2/2008 12:36 | I'm not sure Alan Goodman has much say, he would pretty much have to put any offer to the shareholders - and lets be honest the CEN management haven't covered themselves in glory in the past with their predictions and statements. 150p would be about a 500% premium to the price this morning - can you give me an example of a takeover where thats happened? It would be good if it did - I hold other bios and they seem to have been given a boost by this, but CEN have little money and can't ask for much as they need partners to progress. | dr biotech
05/2/2008 12:34 | Dr Biotech, Filbert3, Noted. I am not even remotely qualified to value CEN. However, I can tell you this: it is impossible to buy stock below 50p right now. Simon Cawkwell | simon cawkwell
05/2/2008 12:20 | Dr Biotech - I disagree - Alan Goodman is not going to sell out for anything other than a very considerable premium to the current price. As stated above the Ono deal alone more than supports 100-200p, and just progressing that alone is a better alternative for the Co than selling out for a song. If there is a real prospect of a takeover from an actual credible party, it will be for above 150p. | filbert3
05/2/2008 11:59 | Hello Simon M6G works as a painkiller - theres not doubt about that. However the PIII trials missed an important result to demonstrate that it was much better than morphine. This may have been due to a badly designed trial without enough patients. It will require another trial to do this - the cost/time/risk of this is significant. Then they have to convince the regulators to authorise it and then the doctors that the benefits over morphine are worthwhile. The other products are OK but early stage and carry a higher risk. Perhaps for a few million its worth another company bringing these in house. CEN has been dogged by slow/poor trials in the past and doing this it may bring some value. Also they have few staff and a huge tax write off that may be of some use. But in my view any bid will reflect the current situation and probably not the potential, so I'm not expecting anything much above 50p. (Given my trading record that probably means a huge bid, but there you go) | dr biotech
05/2/2008 11:53 | The management in my view won't agree on cash deal at current low levels and even if we are offered paper money around 50p+ by a company that is better at marketing and selling than CEN, then it will be a good thing in long term. | wikroberts
05/2/2008 11:51 | Number of AIM Securities in issue: 21,920,192 ordinary shares of 30 pence each | blackbear
05/2/2008 11:42 | how many shares exactly are in issue thanks | pranchalee
05/2/2008 11:37 | July 07 Alan Goodman Chairman. 'It is worth noting that the Ono deal alone underpins the current market valuation of the company (125p) | blackbear
05/2/2008 11:36 | Gentlemen, I may be missing something but, presumably, the offeror senses that M6G works. If it does, CeNeS is arguably worth many tens of millions of pounds. Given that there are only 20m odd shares in issue, one inclines to think the bid could be worth well north of 100p. Simon Cawkwell | simon cawkwell
05/2/2008 10:57 | Equivalent old price is 1.4p so even if the offer was double so 2.8p makes that at todays price of 84p. Bargain! | gumberr
05/2/2008 10:54 | Whooops, that didn't last long ! 3p by end of Feb then ! | bi1l
05/2/2008 10:35 | bryant551 - 5 Feb'08 - 10:24 - 5943 of 5945 LOL!!!!!!!!! | pickymicky |
