13/5/2009 08:25 | Hmm No one anything to say. Nobody notice the 500000 shares that were traded in one hit yesterday for 18p and today we see a slight tick up - however no movement in bid price. Is this a trap for the unwary. Move the stock up and someone may buy some of this large bundle of shres I got yesterday. I can take a few sells so long as someone buys a few. But there again I could not be a as devious as a market maker. | darias
24/4/2009 21:09 | I wonder if the recession is having an impact on this company when the Chairman said the following on 25 March 2009? "Despite the dramatic deterioration in the external economic environment since the IPO, I am pleased to be able to report that we have had a successful first two years of operation, with the marina sector continuing to benefit from the fact that there are more boats than berths. We also have a strong pipeline of possible acquisitions coupled with negotiations at an advanced stage for contracts to manage third-party marinas. Looking forward, your Board has confidence that Camper & Nicholson will report continued positive progress. " | johnsoho

01/4/2008 23:36 | Camper & Nicholsons Marina Investments Limited: RESULTS FOR THE PERIOD 20 OCTOBER 2006 TO 31 DECEMBER 2007 INCLUDING 11 MONTHS TRADING TO 31 DECEMBER 2007 Camper & Nicholsons Marina Investments Limited (AIM: CNMI), the Guernsey-based specialist international marina investment company was admitted to AIM on 29 January 2007. It aims to generate returns through the acquisition, development, redevelopment and management of an international portfolio of new and existing marinas and marina related real estate throughout the Mediterranean, North America and Caribbean. HIGHLIGHTS * Successful Aim Listing - raised Euro47.6m net of expenses. * Since Listing made three acquisitions with a total commitment of Euro45.0 million. Cesme Marina, Turkey - 45% interest acquired for Euro3.8 million investment Grand Harbour Marina, Malta - acquired nearly 80% for total commitment of Euro16.6 million Port Louis Marina, Grenada - wholly acquired for Euro16.4 million with total commitment of Euro24.6 million * Grand Harbour Marina achieved long term berth sales of Euro10 million in December 2007 from the licensing of three superyacht berths. * Group profit before tax of Euro6.3 million on income of Euro10.7 million * Net Asset Value on an independent market value basis of Euro53.8 million or 107.5c per diluted share. A premium of 13.0% to the net proceeds raised at IPO. * Continued growth in superyacht order book. 2008 started with order book of over 900 yachts, the highest level ever. * Further acquisitions envisaged being completed in 2008 and substantially all of the funds raised expected to be committed within 18 months of admission to AIM. Chairman George Kershaw commented: "At the time of flotation, we described the marina sector as characterised by having more yachts than berths available to accommodate them, and that this has led to berth rental and sales price increases in key markets. We believe that these fundamentals are borne out by our first year experience. In addition, the superyacht sector, with a four year order book, seems set to weather any short term uncertainty. Whilst the immediate general economic climate may be less predictable, our view is that the marina sector remains attractive for investors both in respect of its fundamentals and stage of development. Overall we believe that CNMI is performing in line with its commitments to its investors in the first year of trading, and we look forward with confidence to making continued progress in creating the leading international chain of premium branded marinas." | johnsoho

02/10/2007 14:04 | Write up in Sailing Today on "Meltdown in Malta" "Vittoriosa Marina is situated in the Grand Harbour with conventional pontoon moorings. It's an exquisite setting, though somehow strange due to its inland city canal feel. The buildings are simply stunning, some having helped protect this tiny island for over a thousand years. The ever present fortifications are just incredible in size and stature, reinforcing (no pun intended) this island's importance as a naval stronghold over previous centuries." "The next day had us eager to set off, if only to get some breeze through the boat. 'Grand@ is certainly not overstating this fabulous harbour. Cruise liners seemed unimpressive against the massive stone backdrops and the increasing size and strength of the fortifications became more obvious as we neared the gap in the harbour wall. It's here that in days of old they used to stretch chains across the harbour to scythe through enemy ships that tried to invade the island. Valetta was never going to give up without one hell of a fight." | darias
26/9/2007 21:10 | johnsoho here you go Bouyant Superyacht trade Make space for the Russian oligarchs. Orders for some 777 superyachts-those stretching more than 82ft and some to a jaw dropping 328ft-have been booked for delivery over the next few years. According to Guernsey-based Camper & Nicholson Marina Investments, once built, luxurious yachts such as Roman Abramovich's Pelorus, above, need 17.3 miles of berths in the worlds marinaa to park. C&N, whose name has been synonymous with boating for two centuries, listed on AIMearlier this year to buy, develop and run marinas. It belives the 15PC increase in orders for superyachts will help keep demand for well located havens bouyant. It has made two investments so far one in Turkey and one in Malta, and posted profits of £29,114 in the period between October 20 last year and June 30. There was no dividend. Sharesin the company were flat at 66.5p | captainfatcat
