                                  £400,000 INSTITUTIONAL PLACING

Cambridge  Mineral Resources plc ("CMR" or "the Company"), the mining exploration  and  production
company, is pleased to announce that it has raised £400,000, before expenses, through a placing of
20,000,000 new ordinary shares at 2p each with Allianz Equity Investments Ltd.  The funds will  be
used  for  general  business  development  including  the  initial  capital  requirement  for  the
advancement of the Company's silver mine in Peru towards commencement of production.

Application  has  been made for the admission of the new shares to trading on  AIM  with  dealings
expected to commence on 26 March 2008.
