BTG PLC: NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES
 
BTG plc (LSE: BGC) received notification, in accordance with Sections 198-202 of 
the Companies Act 1985, from AMVESCAP PLC, that following the purchase of 
600,000 shares on 9 September 2003, INVESCO Perpetual High Income Fund now has 
an interest in 6,847,049 Ordinary Shares of BTG plc, being 6.50% of the issued 
share capital, registered in the name of Vidacos Nominees Limited.

AMVESCAP PLC and subsidiary companies now have a notifiable interest in 
20,896,615 Ordinary Shares of BTG plc, being 19.84%. AMVESCAP previously 
notified an interest of 19.26% on 5 September.
