BTG PLC : NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

BTG plc (LSE: BGC) today received notification, in accordance with Sections 
198-202 of the Companies Act 1985, from AMVESCAP PLC, that following the 
purchase of 383,181 shares on 4 September 2003, AMVESCAP PLC and subsidiary 
companies have a notifiable interest in 20,296,615 Ordinary Shares of BTG plc 
being 19.26% of the issued share capital. None of the shares are beneficially 
owned by AMVESCAP and are registered in the following names:
