           BTG PLC: NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

BTG plc (LSE: BGC) today received notification in accordance with Sections 
198-202 of the Companies Act 1985, that Deutsche Bank AG and its subsidiary
companies have a notifiable interest of 13,829,098 Ordinary 10p Shares of BTG
plc being 13.12% of the issued share capital.
