July  figures for output sold to customers from British Energy's power
stations are given in the table below, together with comparisons for the
previous year.

Points to note - July 1997

Single reactor statutory outage commenced at Hinkley Point B, Torness
statutory outage continues on schedule.

One  reactor  at  Heysham  2 returned from statutory outage  on  15  July.  
Standpipe modification work was also carried out to enable low-load refuelling
to recommence.

Low-load refuelling completed on one reactor each at Dungeness  B,  Heysham 2
and Hunterston B.

Low-load  refuelling was completed on other Hinkley Point B reactor on 12 
July.   The reactor  shut  down on 29 July for deaerator steam leak repair and
replacement  of  a number  of studs on the main boiler feed valves (expected
to return to service  within the next week).

Gas circulator motor exchange between 18 - 27 July at Hartlepool.
