02/1/2007 12:33 | miamisteve - Many many thanks, With best regards | dmi333
02/1/2007 11:44 | I read the feedback from the US stockholders who attended the AGM and things seemed quite positive. The lack of information being given to the markets is intentional while the AMEX compliance issue is being resolved. Otherwise assurances were given on the accounts receivable issue, the building of the new facility and current trading. | miamisteve
30/12/2006 14:39 | Have any news from the last AGM? | dmi333
27/12/2006 21:47 | Monitoring this one and waiting to see results of AGM today(tonight). I noticed that at least one posting mentioned the UK spread and lack of liquidity. Just as an aside, I'm British, and living in the UK but I have a TDAmeritrade account which means I'll be using that to trade BBC in the US markets. As far as BBC/BODI goes, the spread today in the US was $0.01 with good liquidity (291,000 traded today). My Ameritrade account also does not incur stamp duty, trades are $9.99 (about a fiver), I can go short or long and trade on margin when things are really moving. I've had my account with them for several years now and have no complaints on any level, so I've never tried anyone else over there. Also, there is now an ETF that I can use to effectively neutralise currency risks on any cash holding in between trades (FXB). (There are others for Euro's, Swiss, etc.) Also check out ADR's (American Depository Receipts); many non-US companies are listed via these. I've traded Chinese, Brazilian, Canadian stocks via ADR's. My point: you may find it worth the hassle of setting up an account in the US. Just not giving Mr. Brown his 0.5% is worth it. Sorry not to discuss BBC/BODI. Got a gut feeling I may regret not buying in a small position at the close, but my rule is not to trade in advance of big events with unknown outcomes (like AGM's and Earnings). | david_s
14/12/2006 13:09 | Miamisteve: I would imagine it is a combination of b&c. No reason to suspect they would have had a poor show. If they did we are in deep trouble. Key date is AGM and what info they are prepared to release then. This is a company that is going to be v cautious about its pronouncments going forward which unfortunately means less visiblity on how well or otherwise they are doing. If AGM is positive will be interesting to see whether the share reacts. I won't be around to see the action, but am still holding. | leighbarton
12/12/2006 20:24 | My view on the fact that no announcement on results of trade shows is that a) They were poor b) Company is now too cautious to release information that might be deemed misleading, as orders are not secured. c) Company is holding off announcement till submission of AMEX response. | miamisteve
07/12/2006 12:01 | What is - no no share action yesterday, a glitch in the system that still has not been cleaned up. Look at the US light trading and little movement yesterday at $5. I am surprised we haven't had an update from the trade shows but I suppose with lawyers and AMEX crawling all over this one at the moment the company is being extra cautious in giving out any non financial results news. As such we may not get anything until the AGM, or even later with the results. A pity as it reduces even further our visibility on what is going on here. Still holding and will do so til the results. | leighbarton
07/12/2006 11:56 | I really don't know what has happened to this share. I thought it was a dead cat. I left it well alone. But yesterday it jumped even more than SOLA. Now it's playing dead again. The outcome of the BODI dispute could have a bearing on other Chinese stocks. Good luck to anyone still holding. | what is a login ?
05/12/2006 17:37 | I guess the sensible strategy is to hold now til post AGM - sadly won't be able to make it as we are heading off in the opposite direction on the 27th. I see more lawyers are coming out of the woodwork. Anyone had experience of the US judicial system - this is likley to drag along for years isn't it? | leighbarton
22/11/2006 09:48 | Always gives you confidence when the Company calls the AGM in a difficult and non relevant place at a very inconvenient time. Perhaps the time has come for the Nomad to start thinking of compensation. | hillyfields
21/11/2006 15:51 | Well we seem to be making reasonable headway, can't make up my mind whether or not to throw more money at this. Apparently there are more early investor sales in the wings notified for early December that might depress the price further, but against that we should get an update next week on how well the trade shows went. A tricky one to call... Of course they might seek to hold back any updates until they get the matter with Amex resolved on the basis that further updates at the moment might just worsen the situation. If they do delay I can see further pressure on the price. All v difficult. | leighbarton
21/11/2006 14:53 | mms pushing it down here buts its flying in the states so expect a solid correction in the morning. Lets hope they can break through 6 in the states | monman
21/11/2006 14:11 | if the states open up we could be looking at a very promising week ahead | monman
21/11/2006 07:44 | This is looking good for a positive turnaround in price in the short term you will easily make a 50% profit from this price, not one for a long term hold but it will make you money short term. It was up another 10% yesterday in the states | monman
17/11/2006 20:46 | JT Cod - This is the way of class action lawsuits. And is pretty standard. As soon as a company announces that it is restating previous results or announcements then you have a case. Loads of law firms file cases. (bodisen had 3 so far) The lead plaintiff (whoever has lost the most) decides his/her representation and they go after everyone, the company, the founders, the brokers and the auditors. They are normally insured and settle. The lawyers get 25% of the settlement, the shareholders typically get 20%-35% of their loss back. 4 years down the line. I've spoken with the Lewis Kahn at KGS. They have sent me the draft of their case and there is also one on the Rosen website. There is enough mud to stick. Even if the accounts aren't restated (I don't think they will be), then they can go after the non-disclosure of their relationship with NYGG. They were paying the broker, who was putting out buy recommendations while selling stock for Chinese 'insider' investors and while knowing that eps was about to decrease. The loss will be calculated on the average closing price of the next 60 days, so the best Bodisen can do is have a storming final trade show and submit there compliance proposal to AMEX asap. | miamisteve
17/11/2006 17:21 | sweetmonkey - i am in my friend - just a few at 2.64 | narindg
17/11/2006 17:16 | i got in at 2.64 | narindg
17/11/2006 16:49 | Va Va - it was looking like sliding into the abyss yesterday. IN reality we should both have got out on the Amex update and then be in a position to double our holdings today! No guarantee of where this is going yet although the sense from the US bb at the moment is one of cautious optimism of the share getting back to $7-8 trading range. Still not for the faint hearted that's for sure, and if I wasn't already in it I think I would be staying well clear currently. | leighbarton
17/11/2006 16:48 | ? Bodisen Biotech Inc 17 November 2006 A second Price Monitoring Extension has been activated in this security. A second Price Monitoring Extension is activated when the auction matching process would still result in an auction price that is a pre-determined percentage above or below the base price. The auction call period is extended for a further 5 minutes. For details of how base prices are set for each market, please refer to the Guide to Trading Service at www.londonstockexcha | vish65

17/11/2006 16:42 | LeighBarton, Interesting venue for the AGM - San Francisco China Town - LOL Seriously, it does look like the worst could be over. I'm kicking myself that I sold at probably the worst time possible - I got badly spooked yesterday and AIM was second guessing what the yanks were doing next - very hard to trade in such an illiquid share on this side of the pond. Good luck to holders who had balls of steel. | va va voom
17/11/2006 16:32 | This is looking v tempting but I think I will hold off until after the w/e to see where the US goes. V encouraging that we have an AGM in the US, although a little puzzled. It can't really be an AGM can it as the company trades to a calendar year? | leighbarton
17/11/2006 14:12 | I'm not a shareholder, having decided not to invest a few months ago. I am never comfortable with any company having to lend/pay customers/distributo I always pick over something like this to see if I can learn something of value. I would like to know if they have anything tangible, because I can't see it. Sounds like they are just looking for a 'nuisance' pay off. IMO BODI should consider a counter claim against the group. Show their teeth and remind these people that financial blackmail is a two way street. As ever all IMHO Good luck to all shareholders. JT | jtcod |
