It's worth noting that blinkx for the most part have always had this type of platform although the individual components may have been third party.--------Shroder, surely this makes it easier for the rhythmone sales team having all these entities under one brand?

Clever stuff, shroder. Majority of the revenue is shared between rhythmone and the advertisers. All they need now is enough traffic to monitise. I'd like to see them use the cash pile to buy more traffic. Similar to the all media network purchase.

Yup, that's pretty much it with some content thrown in for good measure.

It's worth noting that blinkx for the most part have always had this type of platform although the individual components may have been third party.

This has two major drawbacks, firstly you cannot fully integrate all of the parts into a single unit but equally as important, you have to give away part of transaction profit to someone else.

R1 now (or will have shortly) an end to end SSP/DSP where they own the whole monitization chain, in most cases they no longer have to share the pie.

Probably your option 2 would best fit my position, although there's a bit of 3 as well.

I like the look of RhythmOne and think it holds out at least the possibility of returning blinkx to the good times (shareprice-wise). But irrespective of how good BM has been behind the scenes in pushing the 1R vision and buying the bits that now make up the whole, I think he has failed in terms of providing effective visible leadership to support the share price when the company was under attack and in communicating effectively with shareholders. As such, I have no confidence in him to represent shareholder interests effectively in the future and will almost certainly vote against his re-election. I will also almost certainly vote against AB's re-election as I believe as chairman he should have taken the initiative to force BM out last year and replace him with a CEO who had a track record of successful turnarounds. The share option award was perhaps the last straw, but is not the main reason why I intend to vote against re-election of both directors.

I doubt very much however whether there will be a majority of votes against re-election of either director (assuming they have RG and Toscafund on board), but it will be interesting to see how much of a protest vote there is.

Lance, it's R1's (soon to be) unified exchange connecting both sides of the ad tech world, supply aide and demand side (SSP and DSP).Similar in many ways to a stock exchange where buyers (advertisers) meet sellers (web sites), that's a very basic description------So, this is what Rhythomone is evolving into? Buying companies like rhythm media, ad karma et al for the dsp and ssp sides and velvet rope for the filtering?

Shroder hope you're right as I think it was a smokescreen saying family commitments and holidays to delay the AGM as I think it was to give them more time to sort things out and hopefully start to bear fruit now that everything is just recently or falling into place

There's an opportunity for Blinkx to shine here imo, we need to see if Brian's strategy is starting to work. Contrast this with what's happening across the pond, ad tech having a rough time.

This is gonna have to be one barnstorming AGM by Brian now as most I feel anticipated news on the lead up to it but it seems blinkx have been in lockdown with news and investor relations for the last six weeks and more, can only think we will get a trading update Tuesday just before the AGM cos without it there is going to be some very high rate shareholders attending.


Who's attending what camp are you going to be in?


1. Shareholder that can see blinkx is rebranding under the 1R banner and this takes time and is willing to give Brian one more try


2. The one that understands what is happening but thinks it's taking
Miles too long may need someone with a bit more go in them to push things
a long at a faster pace


3. Or regardless of what he says and does is had his chance and is took us
from being a very successful company with an unfair advantage over its competitors to where we are today and has to go whatever the cost


4. Or maybe your just going for the free tea and biscuits and hoping that it turned into quite heated AGM where shareholders can finally vent their anger and let the board know how they feel and hopefully get a reply from them unlike all the emails that we send but never get a reply too

Lance Corporal Winstanley Ash yep tube strikes are going head but don't start to 6:30 PM so even if the AGM overruns to 12 o'clock it will still give most people over six hours to get to mainline train station, I wonder if blinkx's 2 biggest bashers here(could be one seeing they have multiple ids now) are attending the AGM to get clarity on all their questions about blinkx dodgy past so they keep posting
