Morningstar fund ownership data – Majedie increasing.

No change in number of funds since 12th Jan, but among the institutions Majedie has increased again in December, by 3.3m shares. It now has a total of 2.71% between the two institutions so close to the disclosure threshold if the Morningstar data is correct. Also interesting to note that Blackrock did increase again slightly in October, getting to 0.9% as of end October – so it didn’t reverse course after the 1st October TU.

Shares (m) is total number of shares held by all the funds in millions. The #funds is the total number of funds reported by Morningstar as holding blinkx. The "date" is the date on which I took the data from the Morningstar site. The data itself tends to be several months old. "prev quarter to 23rd July" is by calculation - on 23rd July Morningstar was reporting the change on previous quarter as being -22% (no. of funds) and -11% (shares).

I wonder whether the bod forecast low fy revenues so that they could then issue a 'beat management expectations' rns...

last summer before the 'inflection point', the house brokers were still forecasting revenues higher than last year... the bod even agreed with the Numis figures...

Yet, after the 'inflection point' and with H2 traditionally stronger than H1, bod are still forecasting lower revenues than fy 2014...
