06/3/2012 14:13 | lightweight....lol:) Stay long stay happy:) Just dont buy too many in case your wrong! IMHO. You will have to wait for year end results to see if dividend is paid or not. Last year it was April/May I think according to ADVFN financials above. | praipus
06/3/2012 14:02 | Well, I sold out yesterday to put my money to work in other places as the share price seems to have got a bit stale. Very marginal profits as I bought in on the day Damille had their heavy buys, but didn't invest much moola. Typical that the following day another RNS comes out concerning yet more big buying. No matter, didn't move the share price I figure there can't be more than about 10% of the shares in freefloat now. I'll be keeping an eye out on BLCK and will probably buy back in before the actual disposal of Litha shares in H2 2012. Oh... does anybody know if/when ex-dividend dates are?? Could be a deciding factor of when I get back in. | haydnf

28/2/2012 13:07 | Thanks my take is that DAMI and II manage around 80m they are investing circa 11m or 13% here. Thats quite high IMHO if anything goes wrong with the rest of Damilie's portfolio and they have to liquidate thats a lot of stock for a few PI's to pick up in an already illiquid company. It could explain why the spread is so wide too. I've got some but I'm not buying a lot. Unless there is a tender offer, liquidation or some other shareholder value enhancing event. | praipus
28/2/2012 13:03 | Just had a read of that write-up of Blackstar provided by the parent. Interesting recap, picked up a few things I didn't know previously too. I honestly see a real clear path of intent here. Blackstar are apparently undervalued quite significantly and the recent news of a £16m disposal has sparked further interest in Damille, who are coming to the end of their investment period with a spare £10m. They appear to now seek to either takeover the entire Board, or at least exert some serious influence and pressure on the Board to start making big and quick shareholder returns. This stands to benefit all parties, assuming Blackstar give the OK to either a takeover, or what the newly positioned Damille board member will recommend to them. Again, Damille I and II between them hold an officially announced 17% of Blackstar shares. Recently there has been huge buying with the owner of 13% of Blackstars shares yet to be announced. 17 + 13 = 30, which is the amount where a formal takeover bid is required. Something Damille openly state in their investment plan. Too co-incidental, surely! | haydnf
28/2/2012 12:48 | Can't say I do tbh, but I'll have a go... I noticed the goings on at BLCK more than I've really looked at Damille, but, I can provide this from the Damille annual financial report to 30th June 2011. All information is for Damille Investments, and does not include Damille Investments II! ---- NON-CURRENT ASSETS Financial assets designated as at fair value: £23,190,340 CURRENT ASSETS Cash and cash equivalents: £10,132,359 Trade and other receivables: £25,931 ---- Damille previously bought 5,500,000 shares on March 11, guesstimating from the charts that was between 76 and 78p? That would give us between £4.2m and £4.5m of those £23m "financial assets" - based on a rough June 30th price of 84p. A recent officially addictional investment in BLCK of 3m at 73p for Damille means another spend of £2.2m. This brings their ANNOUNCED total to around £7.5m invested out of a total of £33m assets (10m cash + 23m assets) - so a grand total of 22% of their AUM? Give or take... I am new to the market game so please feel free to double check my figures. Of course, Damille Investments II also hold a large amount of shares, and, as yet there are a very large amount of BLCK shares that have been bought but not yet seen a holding RNS for. It may well be that Damille could, between the two groups, hold 30% of the shares in BLCK which would require a formal takeover bid. | haydnf
28/2/2012 10:06 | Hi Haydnf. havent looked at the LSE boards, will have a browse. Damille seem busy do you know how much of their funds (AUM) they have they allocated here as a percentage? | praipus
28/2/2012 09:43 | I've noticed this too. Posted a bunch over at the LSE boards (Neophyte) but there's nobody on those boards either. Slipped under a lot of people's radars but it does seem something/someone is afoot here. £12m buys in one day is definitely not a punt. Biggest volumes seen in almost 5 years. There's still several million shares that haven't yet been linked to a buyer in a holdings RNS. Watch this space. Damille seem to have a habbit of heavily investing in companies and pushing their motives for shareholder returns. Can only be good news surely? | haydnf
27/2/2012 12:39 | Damille buying even more! | praipus
