                      Completion of June 2013 Redemption

As approved at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company on 11 April
2013, the Company has introduced a discretionary quarterly Redemption Mechanism
for up to a maximum of 20 per cent. of the UK Emerging Companies Shares in
issue at the relevant Redemption Notification Date. All redemptions are
implemented at the absolute discretion of the Directors.

The first Redemption opportunity under this mechanism was for the quarter ended
28 June 2013, and the deadline for elections to participate in this redemption
was 18 April 2013. As announced on 19 April 2013, holders of 7,109,387 UK
Emerging Companies Shares (16.9% of the UK Emerging Companies Shares excluding
treasury shares) elected to redeem their holding. A total of 6,833,032 UK
Emerging Companies Shares (being 96% per cent of the total number of shares
redeemed), were redeemed by two holders. The valuation point for the
calculation of proceeds for this Redemption opportunity was 28 June 2013.

Based on a Net Asset Value for the UK Emerging Companies Shares at 28 June 2013
of 133.161 pence per share, less the costs of implementing the June Redemption,
total proceeds of 133.158 pence per share will be paid to Redeeming UK Emerging
Companies Shareholders on or around 12 July 2013.

Of the 7,109,387 UK Emerging Companies shares redeemed, 3,190,353 shares will
be taken into treasury. The remaining 3,919,034 shares redeemed will be
cancelled. Therefore following implementation of the June 2013 Redemption, the
Company will have 34,903,535 UK Emerging Companies Shares in issue (excluding
3,490,353 shares held in treasury).
