Birmingham City Council Repurchase and cancellation of Loan Notes

Birmingham City Council ("the Council") announces that it has repurchased £72,899,000 nominal of its £214,971,000 9.675% Loan Notes due 2030 ("the Bonds") at a price of 120.43, representing a total consideration of £87,794,073.

 

Following this purchase, £142,072,000 nominal of the Loan Notes remains outstanding. The Loan Notes which have been repurchased will be surrendered by the Council for cancellation.
