some good buys going through at up to 20p this morning. But the spread is silly according to selftrade who are quoting 15 to 18p. are the mm's feeling especially greedy today?

rivaldo, you post made me smile, last week I was musing the idea of ATD being a takeover target due to it's market position myself. I hmmed and ahhed about posting as much then thought the better of it and to let the ATD story unfold / develope itself, then 'puff' you post that link.

Almost kismet I'd say.

The banking fiasco has certainly highlighted that there are virtually no truly safe havens and that risk levels fluctuate. Risk spreading is wise and regular, careful monitoring are essential, albeit not foolproof. Some swear by stop-losses, but I prefer close monitoring over which I can maintain more control and which is less vulnerable to mkt manipulation.

when related to shares, the word ''invest'' is interesting. Surely ''gambling'' would be closer to the truth. Only joking really - I'm hooked too.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the retracement and have grabbed another 15K@19p.

ATD have a fair way until profitability and a competitive PER; however, they do seem to be set up for significant growth and are likely to reward patient investors.
