Anyone buying now is simply buying into the NAV - the true price after todays announcement is around 30p - taking into account the 16.67% shares that will be withdrawn (Share capital reduction)

Good selling op. if it does. In theory the price should have risen from c.20p per share to the average of 20,20,20,20,20,63p = c.27p based on the tender offer.

Up to 1,667 shares - you could have sold the lot at 55p approx and repurchased them again at 30p ish and still qualified for up to 1,667 later this month

Doesn't the RNS say 1 in 6?

Which is why the price movement was madness. It moved to 60p to buy - similar to if the whole company was being bought for 63p a share!

40 - 43p 0n 31,700 shares traded - in reality about £10k total

ten minutes later - 54 - 57p on 41k trades

Shares cannot be bought in any volume and the share price will plummet when a few sellers appear

dugganjoe - they could have bought in the market? I think not.

At times I have struggled to buy 5,000 shares in the market and the proposal is to buy in approx 1,800,000 of the shares.

The company's efforts to expand its products and markets seem to be paying off:-

"The Company has now opened sites in Westfield White City, Westfield Stratford and Lakeside Shopping Centres, and it is the Board's ambition to continue rolling out further shopping centre sites pending the success of the trials at these locations."

"The Company's online offering has been considerably broadened with new product categories and a greater number of competitions. Revenues are building steadily and the number of participants has grown significantly, aided by lower price points and increased frequency of play."

..so some good positives in the trading update as well with profitability expected next year.

The Company has been trading in line with expectations and will be loss making for the financial year

A tender offer at that level - STUPID - from cos perspective they could have bought in the market - guess directors want to tender them at that price because of their own financial needs? And here is

Directors Michael W Hindmarch, William S Hindmarch, Rupert C E Garton and Colin Hargrave who, (excluding Options to be exercised prior to the Tender Offer Record Date), are the registered holders of, in aggregate, 7,529,137 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 68.86 per cent. of the Company's current issued share capital, have undertaken to accept the Tender Offer in full and to vote in favour of the Resolution.

They should just delist

Yeah, he's right. If they hadn't stepped in and bailed out the banks the consequences would have indeed been 'dire', however by stepping in and bailing them out, the consequences are going to be worse then dire.

Bernanke says Occupy Wall Street misunderstands Fed

CNN
November 3, 2011
America's top central banker "sympathizes" with the Occupy Wall Street protesters and thinks many of their frustrations with the sluggish economy are "understandable."
But there's one complaint Ben Bernanke does take issue with: the backlash against the Federal Reserve.
"I think that the concerns about the Fed are based on misconceptions," he said at his news conference Wednesday.
The Occupy Wall Street protests, which started in New York in September and have since spread around the world, are known for their ever-evolving and diverse list of grievances. Among them are the common themes of distaste for the banking system and frustration with government.

then these commodities would need to rise by at least 50%!!.

Balt, 50% is not a big sum in these inflationary times, it's the time frame that matters. 50% over 5 years would be us getting off lightly, 50% over 6 months would be a crisis situation.

Food price inflation is going to be a big issue over the next 5 years, governments in the 3 rd world will be forced to subsidize the staples or risk violent insurrection from the many poor.
