25/3/2011 21:29 | The Treasury Auction Shell Game Peter Schiff Mar 25, 2011 Very few people have either the time or patience to sift through the data released by the Treasury Department in the wake of its bond auctions. But the numbers do provide direct evidence of the country's current financial condition that in many ways mirror a financial shell game that typifies our entire economy. | traderabc

24/3/2011 15:09 | Just what do they have to hide? "In Florida, violations would be punishable by up to 30 years in prison" Two US states move to outlaw unauthorized photos of farming operations M. Scott Brauer - Pregnant cattle stand in a holding pen awaiting ultrasounds to determine the progress of their gestation on the Judisch Ranch outside of Ledger, Montana USA. Sec. 9.1(a)(2) makes it a crime to "Possess or distribute a record which produces an image or sound occurring at the animal facility" which was taken without permission of the owner. Sec. 14.1.b makes it a crime to "Possess or distribute a record which produces an image or sound occurring at the crop operation which was" taken without permission of the owner. -from Iowa House Bill HF589, passed March 17, 2011 We've covered states' moves to criminalize the recording of police activity previously. Now, bills introduced in Florida and Iowa state legislatures would make photography, video, or audio recording of agricultural operations illegal without written permission of the farm's owner. In Florida, violations would be punishable by up to 30 years in prison, according to the proposed Senate Bill 1246 (SB 1246). A similar law (HF589) passed the Iowa state House of Representatives. In a Washington Post article, agricultural industry representatives and lawmakers say the Iowa bill is intended to stop animal rights organizations from filming undercover videos that misrepresent farming operations. Wilton Simpson, a Florida farmer, says that the bill is needed to protect the intellectual property of his farming practices. | traderabc
24/3/2011 15:06 | A land where justice is just a game. The U.S. Court System Decides It's Worse To Steal From Goldman Sachs Than To Kill Someone It's pretty ridiculous that Sergey Aleynikov, the thief who stole Goldman's high frequency code, got 8 years and a month in jail, when his counterpart at SocGen, Samarth Agrawal, got only 3 years for doing essentially the same thing. But it's even more ridiculous that a killer and an attempted rapist charged for their crimes on the same day as Aleynikov got lesser sentences than him. | traderabc

23/3/2011 16:56 | The facts are plain to see. The $ is in a massive long term down trend. The US is bankrupt, their debt unsustainable and gigantic. All they do is print more money and thereby devalue their currency further ie quantitative easing, all these points are known and provable. Ultimately the currency to replace it should be the Yuan. Meanwhile if it ($) falls hard enough, soon enough, they will have to introduce their new currency which apparently may be a basket of a few (better)currencies with some gold too. | traderabc

23/3/2011 15:24 | I agree on commodities. Jim is right about their trend. I question him on currencies Singapore, Australie and Switserland will never be able to let the dollar fall. The question is not which share or currency will do better but which currency will challenge the dollar and will let him fall. If it is so clear for you - come on give some facts. Without the facts it stays a religion. Again the dollar index was 20 jears ago about on the same level as he is now. | dutch alert
23/3/2011 14:59 | tell me wich one and why Singapore $, Aussie $, Swiss frank, are all far better then the $ or Euro. Not to mention, Gold, Platinum, Silver, Palladium, cooper, etc. The paper game is unraveling, real, hard assets are the only game in town. This isn't 'a religion' it's just common sense, the fundamentals dictate this over the longer term. | traderabc

23/3/2011 12:53 | the opinion about the dollar is based more on religion and less on facts its about the good, the bad and the ugly and in the eyes of the most the dollar is the bad probably china the yuan is seen like the good - fact china choose to be the parasite the value of currencies are based on how they are related to each other so if the dollar seen like the weak one - their must be others who are stronger the euro? I don't think so - they probably had to struggle to survive others ? tell me wich one and why if you look at the dollar index you see todays price is not too far from the one twenty years ago. | dutch alert

22/3/2011 12:17 | Jim Rogers Bullish on US Dollar haha its a mad mad world Hey, the guy has been a super bear on the $ for over a decade, it's perfectly reasonable of him to get bullish for a few months as nothing can go down in a straight line forever. The $ can and does bounce every so often, but longer term the only way does seem to be down. | traderabc

21/3/2011 17:30 | Monday, March 21, 2011 Jim Rogers : I missed the opportunity on Shorting the Sterling Legendary investor Jim Rogers from Singapore speaks to the BBC about the dire future for the British economy and the British sterling , "it is pretty simple Jamie the North Sea Oil is drying up according to your government , you've been a net exporter now you are about to be a net importer again , that's a huge shift , and the financial system which has also been a huge contributor to the UK's balance of trade is also now finished , I mean you are not going to make much money there again , your banks according to your own government are all in serious trouble so the major sources of income for the UK are now disappearing , and that's gonna lead to serious problems with your currencies it always has " | traderabc |
