Mutual Energy appoints David Gray as new Chairman

Following a competitive recruitment process David Gray has been appointed to the position of Chair of Mutual Energy Limited, the ultimate holding company of Belfast Gas Transmission Financing PLC, from January 2019. In line with the Board's succession plan David will take over from Regina Finn who has been a non-executive director for ten years, five of which as Chair.

David most recently was Chairman of the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (Ofgem) and is currently a non-executive director of the Civil Aviation Authority. David brings a wealth of utility regulatory experience having also spent five years as Managing Director, Networks at Ofgem.

David's earlier career was in the financial markets focused on investment primarily in the energy and utilities sectors.
