Basepoint plc ("Basepoint" or "the Company")


Exercise of Options


Basepoint was notified today that certain employees of the Company, including
Philip Stansfield who is a director of the Company, exercised options over
41,000 ordinary shares of 10p each under the Basepoint plc Approved Share Option
Scheme.


Details of the options exercised are as follows:

Following the exercise of his options, Mr Stansfield's current beneficial
shareholding in the Company amounts to 17,000 ordinary shares, representing 0.15
per cent. of the issued share capital of Basepoint.


An application has been made for the 41,000 new ordinary shares to be admitted
to AIM and trading is expected to commence on 2 November 2005.


The Company is required to disclose the following information in accordance with
Rule 2.10 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers:


Following the exercise of the options, the Company has 11,255,588 ordinary
shares of 10p each in issue. The International Securities Identification Number
(ISIN) for the ordinary shares is GB0007381295.
