Biotrace International Plc, a leading manufacturer of industrial microbiology
products was informed that as at close of business on 12 December 2006, the
Goldman Sachs Group Inc. ("GS Inc") no longer had a disclosable interest in the
shares of the Group.

This notification relates to issued ordinary shares in the capital of the Group
and is given in fulfilment of the obligations imposed by sections 198-203 of the
Companies Act 1985.
