RNS Number:9573F Award International Holdings PLC 02 December 2004 Award International Holdings Plc ("the Company") Trading Statement Award International Holdings Plc ("AIH" or "the Company") the full service promotional incentives company that provides merchandise, live events and travel, announces that, despite winning a number of new clients in the past six months, its results for the year to 30 September 2004 will be substantially below current market expectations. The Company had expected to win two major orders which have not come through, which contributed to the loss of revenue which will result in a reduced pre tax profit. The Company will announce its full results for the year to 30 September 2004 in January. Award International Limited ("Award") has also won a number new clients including Cadbury's Ireland to supply scanner radios and BT Retail to provide promotional items for sale in Tescos stores. As part of its long-standing relationship with Buena Vista International, Award has created radios and watches for the hit movie, 'The Incredibles' and is also creating merchandise for new client Momentum Pictures for the release of its new movie 'Racing Stripes' which is due for release in February 2005. Other new clients include EU Jet and the British Red Cross. For EU Jet, the initial contract is for a promotion to run across pubs in Kent and south east London. Award is supplying holiday vouchers, posters, banners, game cards and prize draw boxes. For the British Red Cross Award will create retail merchandise to be sold to the public rather than purely promotional merchandise as is usually the case. In November Award International took an order from Award Inc., to supply Pepsi bottlers in El Salvador and Argentina with US$100,000 of promotional merchandise. Award Inc is a client of Award Limited and is wholly owned by Vic Bussey, Director of Award International Holdings plc. The Company is optimistic that these and other new clients will provide substantial contracts going forward. Commenting on the statement, Geoffrey Rose, Chairman of Award International Holdings said, "Despite the fact that two major orders we were expecting didn't materialise we have won a number of new clients this year and we are excited about the prospects for the business. Award continues to win clients and develop new promotional ideas and although the lost revenue is unhelpful we are confident that 2005 will be a good year."
