Missed this very interesting RNS back on 30th December. Paul DeWinter - Head of Equity Trading at alternative asset investors Lansdowne Partners - buys 500k and in doing so passes through the 3% disclosure threshhold.

May well not be a personal holding, but whatever, looks as though we're in good company...so much encouraged by this move.

The Directors of Avarae Global Coins plc (AIM: AVR.L), the UK's only publicly traded company dedicated to investing in rare and high quality coins, were today notified by Mr Paul Dewinter that following the purchase of 500,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on 19 December 2013, Mr Dewinter and his connected parties are now interested in 2,523,160 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 3.1% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.

With NAV so much higher than share price this has to be a take out situation. Perhaps Noble will buy it in or other major investor will mop it up. Frustrating lack of liquidity........

hi jonwig.
Mr Temple is of course already a coin investor in his own right. Is this the best moment however to invest in this little company. I wonder. I see this share fell 15% in recent weeks perhaps following the gold price down from $960 to $740?
IF they buy more gold with their £2m cash soon, .. but many believe gold will still fall to $600.. on other hand, this is of course a 'rare coin' business, to an extent anyhow, though I put the rise in buying around 20th OCtober to a downturn in the markets and panic sentiment in many.

I am the 'converted' having rushed to buy gold recently so I may not need extra exposure here. But I like the look of them..
