15/1/2011 21:28 | evening all! I hope I don't fall to the bottom thanks--dont forget I'm hoping to fund a new bmw 5 on profits this year with a long way to go, just afford the furry dice so far. lol. I'm looking at deo next as promising and maybe bmr. I'm like you marab too many stocks in my pf--I should prune but usually when I sell up they go! Tom is no showman at presentations I'm amazed he got his tv shows but as long as he picks the right investments agh and dxr should do well. | moormoney
15/1/2011 18:29 | TW's funds have cashed in some of their convertible loan notes a few times now yet their holding has never changed. It looks like they are selling the shares every time so it might be worth looking out for a dip in the share price next time they do it. leeds, looks like you are forgetting to take the medication again. | marab
15/1/2011 17:45 | Check out the Votes for Athol AHG I have just added mine: | flyingswan
15/1/2011 11:49 | He who laughs last old dear, oh how he will laugh. | leedsu36
14/1/2011 21:55 | moormoney, good evening to you. I noticed your position but didn't mention it on purpose as those that are at the front at the beginning of the year generally move down at the end of the year. leeds is just doing it faster than normal. The competition is just a bit of fun - unless you are in it. I would have preferred being down at the bottom, less distance to fall. Kefi looks expensive at the moment but has the potential to become exploration company of the year, VMP could do well, AGQ seems expensive but if silver performs will be good and EOG seems to be motoring at the moment. All potentially good stocks. With the cash from here I bought more Ascot shares because with fairly low production costs they should cope if gold drops a few hundred dollars, and I like AB's involvement. Got some CDC and WTI for the copper exposure, GCL for uranium, SNRP and PRCP (Oracle and AB again) for coal, CRHL for lithium, and a bunch of smaller investments in the resources area. And NXS for a punt in the computing area. I tried to cut down the number of stocks I had (about 20 ) and now have 32, with most of them waiting for news of some kind. Far to many to keep an eye on, and I have already sold 2 because I forgot why I was keeping them. I worry about the normal drift down of stock prices from now to April, but reckon that resources is still the best place to be. Still, any losses between now and the end of March reduces the CGT. I have noticed a general trend here to talk about stocks other than AHG, but that is hardly surprising with the lack of news, and better to use the posts that way than the major bickering that goes on at some of the threads. It's still fairly pleasant here and I hope it stays that way. Just noticed we have had over 10,000 views here now, who'd have thunked it. | marab
14/1/2011 21:54 | The one fingered salute is on it's way. I'm presuming here i'm testing the patience of the proverbial teachers pet. Who the apple a day never worked for. | leedsu36
14/1/2011 21:04 | moormoney--88! I topped up kefi , vmp, agq and bought eog today. What are you into now marab? | moormoney
14/1/2011 20:58 | I sold half today as I too expected a better reaction to the presentation. Dxr I also sold a few as TW said deals 30 secs after the egm--since then silence. | moormoney
14/1/2011 17:03 | Fame at last lads and lasses, a visit from TOPINFO. Watch the share trades carefully next Monday to see if TOPS has taken an interest. scotty, if the system works.... As long as the share price stays above 0.2p I think he is still in profit. | marab
14/1/2011 15:10 | Argy you have to laugh,no wonder his bloody funds are doing so well. | scotty1
14/1/2011 15:08 | Looks like he's been selling dxr & more Ascot too since they all spiked on the back of him including them in his 'Shares for 2011' | argy2
14/1/2011 14:57 | It really matters not about T.W selling,it's all in the share price now anyways | scotty1
14/1/2011 14:04 | fenseal3, I certainly wouldn't try to guess the price here over any period of time and I hope TW keeps delivering for you all. I don't like the idea of TW's funds selling whenever they feel like it, although I know they are acting in the manner of any other investor. To me it is like insider trading, and if others look at it in the same way then the funds selling will be a signal for others to do the same. To be fair it doesn't seem to be making a big difference to the share price at the moment as you said. I also do not like the lack of information flow. I am sure that now I have sold, everything will be resolved. Under the circumstances I took wolstencroft's advice and sold these and bought more Ascot. I know TW's fund had a fair chunk there too, but so has AB and I feel a lot happier with his long term holding strategy and investor relations. TW feels more short term in his outlook and AB more long term strategically. It's a personal choice thing and not related to the long term merits of AHG. leeds, not impossible to post at night just too knackered at the moment. What with emptying the bins during the day and exotic dancing at night, it doesn't leave much time for beauty sleep. Will look in again when I get the chance, so hang onto those witty remarks and I will do my best to give you the opportunity to use them. As to DXR and AHG, I thought Minesite would move the shares one way or the other but had no idea which, so just held. I had a buy order in for 1m if the price went up which it did, far more than I expected but that was helped a bit by those on the CR thread. moreforus being here probably gave you a clue. Apparently Minesite was a bit of a non event. However the price of AHG seems to be staying up which is good. DXR is following its usual pattern of diving on no news, but there will be investment news at some point which will lift the price again. People who bought there before might be worried about getting out in time, which might be a buying opportunity. Can I have a volunteer please to feed leeds opportunities for his infamous wit. Wouldn't want him to lose his edge. | marab
14/1/2011 14:02 | Strong buying today..if we don't get any big sells we may see another tick up and maybe we have turned a corner...up up and away!! | fenseal3
14/1/2011 13:22 | marab ...is it so impossible for you to post at night?......only wondering. And btw you've just confirmed for me with your angst, that you sold last week to pop into dxr.....fatal,old dear, fatal. | leedsu36
14/1/2011 13:21 | marab i thought about selling but have been told to stay and wait for 6 months i even added more.....if all goes well we could see 2p no probs....as you keep saying peeps need to sell to make a market....SFT sold some shares so did you and about another 40m sold over the last 2 weeks but look where this is 1.1 to sell. | fenseal3
14/1/2011 12:22 | SF T1ps Smaller Companies Gold Fund have reduced their holding from 59.1m to 42.4m shares. If that's TW's opinion of AHG then time for me to be off I think. I now hold none of these, and lately everything I have sold has gone up so you might get even luckier here. I wonder if they are selling DXR as well, or maybe they are selling here to buy DXR. | marab
14/1/2011 09:37 | argy, got to work. Would be happier sitting in a warm room but have work I promised people I would do, so no choice but to finish it. Seems to have been a busy few days here and the share price is up so maybe the less I post the higher it will get. Unlike DXR at the moment. Thanks re NXS, that's more or less how I saw it and have a reasonable holding which I am adding to. I agree about the name change to, look what it did for ZEST. Can't find a share holder list anywhere though. Can't be more than a couple of weeks until the NAV is published for AHG. There will be a definite share movement on that RNS and let's hope it's in the right direction. | marab
14/1/2011 09:21 | Hi marab Where you been? Re: NXS...seemed to have turned the corner now but have a lot to prove to the City and t1ps subscribers, most of which are in at much much higher prices. TW was a massive fan all the way down and ridiculed many for questioning him at the last 0.9p placing he took part in. They have been vindicated since then but with Resilience now getting quality orders and the doomed Nerd Force unloaded there are real prospects for a major recovery to 1p+ imho.I would go fora name change when the next order comes in and look to rebuild city confidence. Still a risk but odds are much better now. If more4 reads this he should be tucking away whist he can at under 0.4p imho PS..sorry for O/T | argy2 |
