                            Resignation of Director


The Board of Directors (the "Board") of Arko Energy Holdings plc ("Arko") wishes
to announce the resignation of Mr. He Jian Guo from the Board with effect from
today, due to ill health.  Accordingly, Mr He Jian Guo has given up all the
positions he held within Arko.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr He Jian Guo for his
invaluable contributions to Arko for the past.
