YES share options at 50p.

Shares can be bought cheaper in the market.

In an earlier posting I recommended that shareholders voted against the reverse takeover. It's now a done deal and anyone investing in this company deserves all they get. Probably a fleecing. I can only assume holders are trying to get a share of the gold price action. It will occur to you sooner or later that this company isn't the one you should be buying into. Compare the share chart with the gold price over the last year and draw your own conclusions.
Of yes, and have a look at the options the Directors have just awarded themselves. What for?

Hi folks,

I know weve not had this thread long but now African Gold is no longer trading under its name I feel we should have a thread under the new EPIC MWA.

Here is the link, good luck and lets hope this baby flies North-

Jimmy...

As the current production facility in Zimbabwe is merely a 20,ooo oz facility with refurbishment taking place, and the world looking the other way while Mugabe ruins his once wonderful country, no real investment will take place there.

I suspect Mwana will put most new money into either the DRC fields, or the Ghanaian fields.

BUT...Right now is a buying opportunity par excellence...

(I just wish I had some free funds)

The more I read about world economic events the more I think that the Gold price will shoot through the moon, and even small(ish) explorers like Mwana, will reap the rewards. All rising with the tide...

The markets exist to take money from the small shareholder to the large institutions, and they do that with TIMING!

(not having to sell is a great asset) Perhaps I ought to take that thought to my spreadbetting account...

Now where's the nearest silver mine we can buy? :¬))

You wouldn't think this was a Gold mining company would you. The share price since the begining of the year is going exactly the opposite direction of the gold price. Is this company justing burning money quicker than they can mine it, or is it following the value of the Zim dollar. Either way I am hoping that one day the powers that be wake up and realise we mine gold and not print zim dollars and therefore correct the share price accordingly.......

if only.

8.7 million were placed at 50p, yet the offer is at 40p. So someone has screwed up unless thisd is just PI panic. If you assume those that took up the placing were convinced by the Co. potential then this is a short term blip. If not then "the big boys" aren't as clever as some people think !

yeah and why aren't they buying a shed load more then to average down at least...

Yeah just noticed the same. Why is the share price still dropping. Very concerning especially for the institutions who have bought millions @ 50p. I bet the will be even more cheesed off, cos they could have bought the same a lot cheaper.

hmm if everything is all so positive then why has the offer gone to 40.5. All the boys with the big money are stupid eh..?? In the "old days" that price amounts to 4.05p per share and the bid is 3.8 per share. Nothing has changed except the merge/name change and it all looks worrying to me...

I'm not deramping, I'm a long term holder with some at 12p but if all this merger with MWA is so good I just can't get my head around the price drop.

Trading HAS started already so there's no need to wait for tomorrow. I don't see any reason for the price to go up just becasue AFG becomes MWA.

As per tin...any ideas cos I ain't got any....

Interesting piece on the FRONT cover of the Independent today...(and page 2 as well) especially if you have environmental concerns...

But the facts mixed in with the emotion are all positive.

As a long term holder, was slightly concerned over the 10 for 1 consolidation prior to the event. However must show a degree of Institutional confidence as placing at 50p was fully subscribed, but why was this the case when shares could, in theory be bought on open market at 43-45p. Is there a liquidity issue ? any ideas. If the answer is yes then can only be good news especially with strengthening gold price.

I would have thought at least the askling price should have been 50p NOT 45p. Well we shall see tomorrow when the trading starts.

Yes I like this bit "The Company also announces the successful placing of 8,700,000 Ordinary Shares
at 50p per share, raising #4.35 million before expenses."
