Posted at 18/12/2009 10:23 by mattyd selftrade have finally removed APN from my account summary. |
Posted at 28/5/2009 20:01 by getting started On 17th April 2008 Appian had this to say in the AGM Statement...I am pleased to report that Appian has had its best half year for order intake. Business in hand to date is £4.42 million, which is anticipated to be delivered by the end of the current financial year. This includes all orders received in the year to date and annual maintenance revenue. Total sales in the last financial year amounted to £4.77 million. Going into the second half of the financial year, our sales pipeline is strong and the Board is optimistic about the Company's prospects for the remainder of the financial year and beyond. Appian continues to make good progress in all its markets in the UK, Ireland, the Middle East and the Americas. In particular, the Company has been successful in terms of winning tenders from UK police forces. And then to be suspended a few months later??? I spoke with the administrators today who said that the company knew months before the suspension that they were needing finance. Yet Pat Ryan did not release this to the market in fear of not being able to sell the company. That sounds to me as irresponsible. He had a duty to shareholders to be honest. Shares should have been suspended well before they were and I feel that the share holders were the last thing on Appian's mind. |

Posted at 26/5/2009 00:26 by topinfo Okay if you all agree to put down on here shares held and price paid that would be a start. |
Posted at 26/5/2009 00:16 by topinfo JA. Firstly I think we need a list here of shareholders (PIs) and their holdings and what they paid for them, to get some idea on what amount has been lost. I think it would be a great benefit to write to the company and advise them that we seek compensation and ask them to consider settling at an agreeable price to each individual, warning them that we are prepared to take action via legal proceedings if they fail to address and compensate accordingly. |
Posted at 11/1/2009 15:36 by mred406 FSA do not seem interested.Im sure something can be done here as this is no less than fraud! How many holders here lost money on Appian??? This was the email I recieved the day of suspension... Dear ........ Thank you for your email. The trading was suspended in order to investigate the drop in a share price. According to our management explanation another company with trading name APN from Australia have sold their shares thus the misunderstanding. Management team assured that company is still moving forward and trying to raise the funds. Best Regards Egle ermmmmm |
Posted at 02/11/2008 20:13 by richardbees Do calm down, ladies!imho the share price ONLY plummeted on Friday because of those news releases re APN - 'Australasian Press and newspaper' ---which may also have triggered multiple automatic 'stop loss' trades on investors accounts with eg.'selftrade'. Appian is a tiny company, the FD might even have had Friday off to take the wife shopping, so they probably got totally flustered by the dramatic share price activity and the zillions of 'phone calls from you lot so took an easy way out by requesting suspension ----'capital raising' is probably the least complicated reason! Think about it, after the share price had already crashed ...what did they have to lose? See you back here next week! Cheers, Richard |
Posted at 02/11/2008 11:13 by cygnet4 What happened on Friday seems odd. Independent Newspapers say in the morning they are selling their stake in APN in Australia and our APN price crashes. Why not then issue a statement to clarify the position. Conversely if APN is in trouble it seems a coincidence that based on rumours its share price plumments at the same time as the Independent announcement. The company may need financing as this seems a regular event but if this was via a placing it then seems odd to suspend at less than 1p when a denial would have seen the price rebound. It may be that following the fall certain questions where asked of management and they ended up bringing forward the bad news. On balance it doesn't look very positive unless we get another announcement on Monday. |
Posted at 01/11/2008 13:16 by imabastard Wig - no other motives at all. I rang just after 2 pm and was told there were no Director's present or any management and that no-one would be available until Monday and was asked if I would like to leave a message to be contacted on Monday. Simple as that. The lad answering the phone did not have an unhelpful attitude or give the impression that he was just being obstructive. The reason I rang was to check what was behind the sudden share price drop in THEIR opinion, which I couldn't do, so I left it alone. Any modicum of reasoning will deduce that just because I couldn't speak to a senior member of APN does not suggest that this will fold and conversely, just because you write that you did speak to a senior member of APN does not suggest that this will succeed. As previously written, I hope it works out well for holders. As you have given your account of your contact with APN, so did I. |
Posted at 01/11/2008 09:50 by shares14 If you read it its saying we have run out of money for day to day running of the buisness ( working capitial).I suggest you look this up it means short term financial health, measures how much liquid assets a company has...etc.The company could come to share holders for money but with the share price so low any dilution would be difficult as share price is below a penny,Bank loan letter of credit but the banks are not lending like they use to as we all know,so how else is this company going to strengthen its balance sheets and get working capitial, and piper do you own any of these as you were the one who told me to look at them, and i had never heard of you before yesterday so what was your motive and did you tell a bunch of people any one? |
