Transfer of Anglian Water Services Limited's non-household retail business to Anglian Water Business (National) Limited
On 24 October 2016, Anglian Water Services Limited ("AWS") applied to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to exit the non-household retail market when the market opens on 1 April 2017 pursuant to The Water and Sewerage Undertakers (Exit from Non-household Retail Market) Regulations 2016 (the "Exit Regulations"), and, on 6 December 2016, the Secretary of State gave permission to AWS to exit the non-household retail market. AWS will exit from the non-household retail market by transferring its non-household retail business to Anglian Water Business (National) Limited ("AWBN") on 1 April 2017 pursuant to a statutory transfer scheme in accordance with Schedule 1 of the Exit Regulations. The statutory transfer scheme was entered into on 13 February 2017 and was approved by the Water Services Regulation Authority on 21 February 2017. AWBN has a water supply licence and sewerage licence, both of which were granted on 30 September 2016.
