then simply work out the new nav (remembering some large ticket investments are not included)

Congratulations to Dim2602 for getting this company absolutely right. Motif is nice but not the key. The reason why this company has such potential is Datatern & Amphion's bundle of IP rights. I really cannot understand why the market has so completely ignored this highly greared and well spread spreculative opportunity.

28 mill stays 28 mill whether they issue 2 shares or 200 mill shares....

If the issue price is 1p or 10p or a 100p that determines the value....

The current circular says 20p...

20 times 28 mill is 5,6 mill gbp.

Not quite. New shares will be issued by Motif to raise £4+. But how many and at what price is unknown. AMP may well own 28 mil shares but what proportion of the company that ends up being, who knows!

The trouble is that until we know the exact value that the market puts on Motif it is all guesswork. If the mkt value at IPO is £10m after the £4m fund raising then AMP will own 38% of £6m = £2.28m. This is not going to have a significant impact on the share price of AMP. If the IPO value is £20m after the £4m fund raising, this increases to £6.08m which starts to look interesting. I have a significant holding in AMP with average price of around 4.5p so well under water. AMP is a high risk bet geared on a number of positive outcomes. If the price of KMK or Motif rise significantly the share will move up. But the the real game changer for me is the result of any settled lawsuits related to Datatern

the 40 - 60 m was the times guesstimate in their article. seems the real value on ipo is £10m so some way short but still worth circa £3.8m to amp.

anyone looked into the debts thats my main nagging concern here and obviously the reason why mcap is down around 5m. Healthy assets but the heavy debt negates and leaves circa 5m in net assets with the motif stake priced in ? however if motif price looks like it will fly a week on tuesday i may add.

MOTIF COMING

Pursuant to the Company's statement on 2 February 2015, Amphion is pleased to confirm that its Partner Company, Motif Bio plc, will seek admission of its ordinary shares to trading on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange. Admission is expected on 31 March 2015. As of 31 December 2014, Amphion owned approximately 38% of Motif.
