i dont understand that RNS - what is its purpose? It doesnt seem to be relevant, effective and engaging at all !!

Hi Rivaldo returning to a previous post of yours re Techinvest.

They have just updated their site and posted November 2009 as the sample copy.

Only a brief mention of Alterian this issue as follows

'Alterian 180p
(ALN; Tech Software and Services)
The shares made an eight year high during
the month, a gain of 287% since their low in
March, only just over seven months ago.

And makes the following comment

Alterian is now the largest holding in the
CF Techinvest Technology Fund. No harm in
locking in a little profit, although the Fund
has no current plan to do so.'

In Spanish and broadly says that there are only four companies in the world that do this brand stuff the way they do and that they are the first in Barcelona.

Depends purely on timescale. Anyone trading short term will be unsettled at the moment. Anyone buying quality with a view to holding for as long as the reasons they bought are still valid is relaxed and looking to buy more on any further weakness.

:o)) Agreed yump, it's slightly hyperbolic!

But I can quite see the damage that negative reviews or coverage could do within a short space of time. And by the same token I can see the good that a positive review could do given the power of the web. There must be countless examples of products having gained or lost in popularity through web coverage, gossip etc. It's really just a question of degree - Monsieur Eldridge has I think simply gone straight to the extreme case.
