ALPHA AIRPORTS GROUP PLC
CHANGES IN BOARD RESPONSIBILITIES
Following the changes in the UK travel retail industry arising from the
abolition of duty-free allowances for intra-EU travel, ALPHA Travel Retail is
finalising the re-definition and re-positioning of its UK operations. Hilary
Lewis, Managing Director of ALPHA Travel Retail and an Executive Director of
ALPHA Airports Group Plc, will stand down with effect from 28 February 2001 as
part of this restructuring. Kevin Abbott, Chief Executive, will assume
day-to-day management responsibility for the Travel Retail division.
The Board is delighted to advise that Hilary will remain with the Group as a
Non-Executive Director and consultant, thus ensuring that we can continue to
benefit from her extensive retailing knowledge and excellent industry
perspective.
Commenting on these changes Kevin Abbott said:

and establishing firm foundations for its UK recovery and international
development."
