Alpha Airports Group PLC ("Alpha" or "the Group")

Appointment of Chairman


The Board of Alpha Airports Group Plc is today delighted to announce the
appointment of Martin Flower as Chairman with effect from 11 December 2006.

Mr Flower (60) is currently Chairman of Croda International Plc, the specialty
chemicals group, and Non-Executive Director of The Morgan Crucible Company Plc,
the specialist materials engineering company.

Until earlier this year, Mr Flower was Deputy Chairman of Severn Trent Plc, the
leading water group.  He was previously a Non-executive director since 1996 and
Senior Independent Non-executive Director since 2004.

Mr Flower's career to date includes 36 years at Coats plc, the international
textiles business, in a broad range of management positions both in the UK and
overseas.  He was appointed Group Chief Executive in 2001 and Chairman in 2003
before leaving the company in 2004.


Upon Mr Flower's appointment, Peter Williams, currently Chairman and Group Chief
Executive, will relinquish the chairmanship.


Commenting on the appointment, Peter Williams, said:


"We are delighted that Martin is to become Chairman of Alpha.  He has a
first-class track record and extensive experience both at plc board level and
internationally.  He will be of enormous benefit to the Board as we take the
business forwards."
