Could the fall in the share price be related to the "cure for cancer" that was all over the papers yesterday? Bearing in mind All Noor have just spent over $21m acquiring a cancer care facility.

"... Compulsory insurance "makes that market even more attractive than it was," chief strategy officer Sami Alom said in an interview yesterday in Abu Dhabi, where the group is based. "We will be focusing our efforts on Dubai."

The expansion will be "most likely through acquisitions," he said, declining to provide details. Al Noor Hospitals said in October it had acquired 75 per cent of Manchester Clinic in Dubai.

Dubai, the second-biggest sheikhdom in the United Arab Emirates after Abu Dhabi, will require its residents and visitors to have compulsory health insurance from their employers or sponsors. The emirate's government endorsed its medical care law, according to U.A.E's official news agency. Abu Dhabi already has compulsory health insurance.

Al Noor Hospitals doesn't need to borrow to finance possible acquisitions, Alom said.

"We're also keeping our eyes open for the longer term and looking outside the UAE to the" rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council, he said, referring to the six-nation bloc that also includes Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman. The group opened a medical center in Oman in June and sees "a lot of opportunities there," he said."

This is looking promising!

Hmm why this stock has been taking beating? ANH is such a strong company with huge potential. Last results prove that. Target is 1065 for this. I am estimating it to be at least 975 in next 2/3 months.

Excellent results - recent acquisitions and phased expansion over next three years.
-------------------------------------------------

All our centres are trading well and EBITDA continues to grow in line with management expectations.

Acquisitions

Al Madar Medical Centre (MMC)

Al-Madar Medical Centre is located in the Al Khabisi area in Al Ain City. Al Noor has acquired 75% of MMC for a purchase consideration of US$ 11m. The acquisition of MMC will allow Al Noor to extend specialized dentistry and cosmetic services to its patients in Al Ain. Additionally, most of MMC's patients are Emirati, in line with our objective of serving UAE Nationals.

Manchester Clinic

Manchester Clinic is located in the Jumeirah area in Dubai. Al Noor has acquired 75% of Manchester Clinic for a purchase consideration of US$ 5m. The clinic is situated in an attractive location in Jumeirah; with access to high income nationals and expatriates. The acquisition of this clinic is our first step into the Dubai healthcare market, in line with our strategy to grow into the wider UAE.

On-going Initiatives

The Group plans to start two new Medical Centers by the end of this year in Abu Dhabi as part of its organic growth plan.

At the Khalifa Street Hospital, as part of the growth plans the Group plans to take up additional space in the existing building and enhancing the interiors of the premises to improve the patient experience.

The Group has also commenced work on a phased implementation of SAP in conjunction with a leading systems integrator. This project is expected to run for the next 36 months with a phased implementation of various modules of SAP.
