                          STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT



Following the announcement made in our interim statement regarding the strategic
review of the Bymacks upholstery business, the Board can announce today that it
intends to cease manufacturing at the Brimscombe site of Bymacks Limited.
Commercially viable elements of the product range will be transferred to other
sites within the Group.  The transfer of operations is expected to be complete
within this current financial year.  The cash impact related to the site closure
and transfer is not expected to exceed #500,000.  Losses at Bymacks in the year
to March 2003 were #1.4 million.  Losses to the point of commencement of
consultation were in the region of #825,000.  The Board's action will remove a
significant loss-making business from the Group.



The Board can also announce today the successful disposal of its surplus
facility in Glasgow for the consideration of #475,000, compared with a net book
value of #445,000.
