Excellent Dave ...and apologies as I had hoped to be there too but the markets and current US. decision pending meant I could not squeeze out twelve hours for the round trip from Kent. I will try to arrange an investor meeting with the directors at some stage in the near future.

Was there any guidance on the size of the divi ? or time line for the payment ie. any chance of an initial interim payment in February or March rather than have to wait until next October/November which feels an awfully long time and will not be much of an incentive to tuck them away.

Did the Chairman explain the CEO package and how it is made up and will he be therefore receiving the same this year ?

Who were the other shareholders and what did they raise as questions to the Board?

Was there any explanation regarding the offer/bid for the company earlier this year ?

Very many thanks of course for attending which is very helpful to those of us who would have liked to be there with you.

Thanks. I appreciate that some answers given may be not for public domain if so I will let you have my e-mail if thats ok.

I forgot my other bugbear which I ask about at least once a year please, please, please do something about the website. It doesn't reflect what the company does and must send anybody be it client or investor running before they get a chance to dig any further.

8Trader....If you attend then you will have the chance to assess management, see the company sites and HQ and also get a better feel for the company and the business itsel. More importantly though it is the opportunity to show support and question strategy or simply try to find out why the market has valued AMU so lowly for the last two years.

I would suggest a number of investors have stayed clear because the business did not appear to have growth potential or do not like the very large director remuneration compared to the market cap and other ratios. It may also be the lack of dividend for shareholders so that they can share in this return from profits.

I intend to find out more and ensure that shareholders see a return from here. That will also encourage future potential buyers and holders and so increase the share price and capital returns from this low base. I think all shareholders should try to show their support by attending as II do not want another year of low share price, no dividends and 60% increase in director remuneration.

It is not always the markets...there can be an underlying reason.

I know of six investors attending so should be interesting. I certainly think there are a number of questions to be answered so do add to the thread here if any holders want some answers

Good opportunity on CLTV currently; concert party of investors just built up their stake to 28% and a takeover looking very likely.

Sorted the debt; massive discount of assets to s/p, which is currently close to all time low and excellent medium term prospects.

See thread for details.

M/c less than £1m and could easily be a ten bagger.

A dividend around 40% of earnings as most companies give to their shareholders would be fine. That would equate to 8p initially and a mega dividend yield. However if they want progressive it would probably be better to start slightly lower at say 6p and add a penny every year. If eps goes up then a % divi payment has to automatically be higher. Progressive suggests a bigger % each year though I guess.

Lets face it though a near 10% yield would make investment here an interesting proposition for income funds and investors

Gravy-From your share selections(TND/AMU)etc,you like value.I am pretty excited about ILX and am building up a good holding.Someone is dumping them currently and investors are able,as a rule of thumb, over recent days,to buy the stock at below the middle price. To me it looks as though the P/E will drop below 3 in the year ending 03/09.Just look at their impressive growth over the past few years.Cheers anyway. No offence meant with TND by the way.It looks as though their "Bennie"driver is the business-and that is a turn up in my book!!

I often wondered why there was a lack of institutions holding Amu
and if they are "hiding" then no wonder !

Maybe they are trying to give the stock a nudge in the right direction
like we try to on here without much success.

That's one big % chunk to add onto the other major holders, makes around
63% now in safe hands, would only take one or two new larger investors to
see the value and put a real squeeze on the stock and then Amu would finally
get the re-rating it deserves or at least put it on a per of 5-8 which would
still treble the shareprice.

I would suggest it says: "We have reached our target - now someone can come make us an offer, if they wish.". Would the investors that Peter Long represents (besides himself) have enough cash to take a larger stake?

8Trader - few people seem familiar with the 10% rule for passive funds. Most only recognise the 3% limit for active funds and investors. Most funds declare at 3% even though they may not need to in what is described as being "out of courteousy" but I think it is just so they have the option to vote should circumstances change. It is clearly a grey area which is why so few don't declare until 10% even if they consider themselves passive. I have seen 10% declarations crop up twice before but I can't remember where. I'm pretty sure one of the funds involved was a Deutche Bank one.

Well, having bought almost 10% of a business, and with no discernible interest in the shares from either private investors or other institutions, why not tell the wider market they've done it?

You never know, it might just liven up the s/p.

On the other hand............
