Non qualifying investments in an ISA as a result of a corporate action have to be sold or transferred out within 30 days.

All the detail I have is on my post if my man tells me more I will share. Today is the last day to trade so if you are not certain sell them to your self today.
I see little to lose by waiting and seeing if they do list the loan note within the one month, if not then sold to me by me at 40p and an allowable loss if it ends up that way in due course. A fixed purchase price always good for arguing with the revenue about costs.

I expect the loan notes to be immediately outside of the ISA and, in theory, there should be no problem. Should work similar to a rights issue, noting National Grid a few years ago, where the rights attached to the ISA holding could be taken up outside it.

My ISA provider say the following about the loan notes.

I'm now led to believe by our ISA department that should the IMIC convertible loan note not be listed within the one month window in which it has to be transferred out then the transfer value out of the ISA will be the principle value of £0.40. This is the information I have at the moment and by no means a guarantee this will be the case. I understand it is material to any decision on whether to transfer stock out of the ISA ahead of scheme completion.

This would mean that you could sell the stock from your ISA to your self at 40p, a good way of getting cash into the ISA above the annual allowance and getting a very high entry cost in your own name, tax planning all part of the service!!!

The real robbers are the Afferro management who are claiming vast domes of money for doing nothing and having their own interests above the shareholders interest. I am with BC142 there is something really unsavoury going on here. As they say every dog has his day.
