TORONTO, April 1  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited
("Agnico-Eagle") announced today that it will release its first quarter 2005
results on Thursday, May 5, 2005, after normal trading hours.

Annual General Meeting

Please join us for our 2005 Annual and Special Meeting of Common Shareholders
on Friday, May 6, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. (EST.). The meeting will be held at the
St. Lawrence Hall, East Room, 157 King Street East, Toronto, Canada. In
addition to discussing our operating performance, we will provide a
comprehensive presentation concerning our development and exploration projects
during the meeting. For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will be

Tour of LaRonde and Regional Projects Planned

The Company is planning a tour of the LaRonde Mine and the Company's regional
projects on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 and Wednesday, May 11, 2005. Visits to
