30/3/2005 11:02 | Well Argy its 4.5p so they havent got it right !! Ever got in at Pre IPO and founders shares....nah didnt think you had that clout !! | jasper65
30/3/2005 10:59 | These over-priced and over-hyped cash shells with massive % premiums to nav & cash will suffer in this kind of market as investors look for solid asset backing and trustworthy management.Allnewiss | argy2
30/3/2005 09:30 | Yep i do ! Will go well through 6p when some of these other shares they have come onto AIM. Some of us are long term investors and not short term. My money is on these hitting 10p before the end of the year. | jasper65
30/3/2005 08:52 | Down through the placing price. Who thinks these will ever get back to 5p? I don't think so! | topvest
27/3/2005 10:21 | Looks like journalist Mr Pain is back accepting the brown envelopes again ! | argy2
26/3/2005 15:34 | hmmm. I've been very unimpressed with ADD. I bought some in the placing, realised I'd made a mistake and sold at a penny profit which was quite pleasing. This company is worth 1p tops. | topvest
26/3/2005 14:46 | addworth investing in a piece of plop called petsome plc which floats next week - petsome is a shell and raising just circa 200k. market cap will be 3-4x cash lol from winnyfrigs site Investment Conclusion: The recent scramble to list on AIM before the rules change is evidenced by the large number of completely pointless, aimless cash shells listing on the market. ...... For the moment, before 30 March, examine cash shells carefully before investing and avoid both Petsome and Ricmore. | vicotumeric
14/3/2005 20:14 | who dumnped 2x 25k today anyone have a targfet greater than 1p or is that inevitable | vicotumeric
07/3/2005 22:55 | Hopefully MWM will have more luck with this investment than his own house-building company some years back.Went under with him. | argy2
07/3/2005 21:02 | Another £100k spent today. They will have invested all soon. Another not very exciting deal today. There is no way this is worth the share price with the very average investments that they are coming up with. At the end of the day, the investments are no better than Mr Private Investor with a reasonable wedge could achieve. | topvest
02/3/2005 21:31 | Addworth sounds like an oxy-mitchell to moi. | hedge66
02/3/2005 20:26 | basebeat One petty private ramper exposed by the FSA after years of organised 'insider dealing' etc by the likes of 'The Mirror' and various tipsheets? I'm sure the big boys are shaking in their boots! | argy2
02/3/2005 12:47 | basebeat - i'm sure the rampers wouldn't draw undue attention to their well proven antics. regards | targatarga
02/3/2005 12:30 | Did you read about the guy who was fined £15k for using the bulletin boards to ramp. I think we need to be careful about using words like "various crooked ramps". If the company sees this I'm sure they won't be best pleased! | basebeat
01/3/2005 22:13 | topvest Don't disagree with your valuation and that of allnewissues who seem to rate it at little over 1p too. Also bow to your better insight into the IPO...I wrongly assumed this was tightly held by the tipster mafia who would sell in to various crooked ramps. We shall see. | argy2
01/3/2005 21:05 | Argy2 - Not so, it was easy to get shares in this IPO. There are quite a few shares out there - don't think they were snapped up that quickly. 1-2p is where it should be. | topvest
01/3/2005 17:38 | topvest As with those over-priced cash shells from Phil Edmunds stable this look to be tightly held by those close to the management. This ensures not too much loose stock comes out until it is artificially ramped/tipped somewhere.Judging by allnewissues views it won't come from their camp but there are still plenty of crooked journalists around at the Mail/Express etc who will for the right price. | argy2
01/3/2005 14:02 | so how much is he paying himself per annum? | targatarga
01/3/2005 13:59 | Can't believe the price is holding up so well on this! | topvest
01/3/2005 12:29 | jasper - Of course he needs a few winners to keep the subscribers coming but IMHO, too many of his tips tend to precede fundraisings or are ramps that appear to benefit institutional holders. e.g. WGT was a tipping disaster and preceded the practical annihilation of existing shareholders with a massively discounted placing. Wasn't he also the tipster that tipped Jaques Vert, using out of date forecasts, allowing two institutional holders to dump their stock onto retail investors, prior to some lacklustre results? His company, SQC research, issues "research" for payment by some tipped companies, which doesn't exactly convince me of the neutrality of the resulting documents. Not someone that I'd trust, without a very large amount of DYOR.... Rgds dell All IMHO, DYOR etc. | dell314
01/3/2005 12:16 | Well Mark did tip ASOS at 5p and Burren Energy. So please dont tip anymore Mark or I will have to give up work LOL !! | jasper65
01/3/2005 10:32 | Not that well, but I met him a couple of weeks ago. He seemed very passionate about Addworth and keen to prove his doubters wrong. I wasn't aware of the company until it was introduced to me last month but it IS the sort of thing that can have dramatic upside if he finds the right investments. Myhome is evidence of that in my opinion.I've checked out Starvest on topvest's recommendation and that looks another interesting situation and probably better value that Addworth at the moment. Do you know him...you obviously take a dim view! | basebeat
01/3/2005 05:38 | Well, that'll make a change given his past...assuming we can believe you of course.Out of interest how well do you know him? | argy2 |
