    Appointment of Group Finance Director

    As announced in September 2008, Steve Kynaston, will take up his position as Group Finance Director with effect from 1 January 2009.

    Steve, aged 49, is promoted to the role of Acertec Group Finance Director from his role as Finance Director of Stadco Limited ('Stadco')
which he has held for the past fourteen years. During this time Stadco has grown from a single-site operation based in Shrewsbury to the
current multi-site, international business.

    Prior to 1995, Steve was Finance Director of Hall & Pickles, a steel stockholding distributor, part of Hall Engineering Holdings plc,
the predecessor of Acertec. He holds 36,617 ordinary shares in Acertec.

    Steve replaces Jonathan Cook who has been Group Finance Director since 1 May 2008.

    David Hussey, Executive Chairman commented: "We are grateful to Jonathan for his efforts during his time with the Group. We wish him
well for the future. 

    We are pleased to welcome Steve to the Board. He has played an active role in the development of Stadco during his time with the Group
and I look forward to working with him in the future."

    There are no other matters in relation to Steve Kynaston's appointment to disclose under Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM rules.
