CAMBRIDGE, MA and SANTA BARBARA, CA and leader in digital content acceleration over high-bandwidth IP networks, and WAAV, Inc., a leader in innovative products for mobile Internet connectivity, announced today that the companies have formed a technology and marketing partnership concerning the acceleration of data over mobile wireless Internet.

The companies have demonstrated interoperability between RocketStream's data transfer acceleration software and WAAV's multiple-connection mobile cellular router products. They now plan to engage in joint sales and marketing activities, whereby each company will benefit from the other company's reach into specific market segments of strength. WAAV boasts strong market penetration in the wireless mobile market segment, and RocketStream is a leader in data transfer acceleration solutions.

"WAAV is an excellent partner for RocketStream because they complement our existing technology and market coverage," said Steffen Koehler, chief marketing officer of RocketStream and Voyant. "While RocketStream has been concentrating on fixed file transfer acceleration, WAAV's considerable expertise and market knowledge in the mobile wireless segment will open important new avenues for us."

"We were a RocketStream user before we became a partner," said WAAV's vice president of sales, J.C. Fulknier. "Their technology complements our high-bandwidth mobile products because their software can simultaneously utilize both cellular connections of our AirBox X2, doubling the normal upload speed over a standard EVDO cellular network. Through this type of dramatic performance improvement, we expect this partnership to mutually benefit not only our companies, but also our customers."
