American Community Development, Inc. (PINK SHEETS: ACDP) announces the appointment of Vice President Engineering.

V. Allen Kimmel, B.A.Sc., P.Eng., P.Geol., P.Geo., Vice President Engineering

Allen Kimmel, a graduate of the Geological Engineering Program at the University of British Columbia, has a diverse background within the petroleum industry, having worked as an exploration and development geologist, a reservoir engineer and as an acquisitions and divestiture specialist over the past 25 years. This experience has provided Mr. Kimmel with an extensive knowledge of the reservoir and geological play types throughout Western Canada. A native Calgarian, Mr. Kimmel began his career with Dome Petroleum and then spent time with Amoco Canada, Samson Canada and Cimarron Petroleum. He has gained significant management experience having been involved in a startup company that grew from 2 to 34 employees, having held positions in corporate business development groups and having acted as President, COO and Director of both public and private oil and gas companies. Mr. Kimmel was an independent consultant to several petroleum companies (including Barrington Petroleum and Marathon Canada) specializing in project development, acquisitions and divestitures prior to devoting his time to running a private oil and gas company. Mr. Kimmel is involved in other business ventures in Calgary including GeoHistory Inc., provider of the Essentials of the Oil and Gas Industry Course for clients such as Encana, Talisman, Husky and Conoco-Phillips and industry associations such as CAPLA (Canadian Association of Petroleum Land Administration) and PASC (Petroleum Accounting Society of Canada).

The ACDP board of directors takes this opportunity to welcome Mr. Kimmel to our management group.

Management Comment: "ACDP considers itself fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in such a large scale oil and gas play resident onshore in the USA. The combination of continued restrictions on offshore drilling, turmoil in the far east, and surging oil prices (recently over $ 89 per barrel), all of which affects demand - supply balance; makes this an attractive and timely business opportunity to fast track shareholder value."

About American Community Development, Inc.:

ACDP is an emerging domestic oil and gas company, and will be focused on exploiting oil and gas reserves onshore within the USA. ACDP is in the process of assembling a seasoned team of managers and technical professionals in the areas of geology, geophysics, engineering, and legal.
