Topaz Resources Reports on Importance of Barnett Shale Gas to the U.S.

   Topaz Resources, Inc. (OTCBB: TOPZ) today reported that the importance of Barnett Shale natural gas to the U.S. has been detailed by Ed Ireland, executive director of the Barnett Shale Energy Education Council, in a video produced by America's Natural Gas Alliance available at http://www.bseec.org/content/ed-ireland-discusses-barnett-shale-and-its-importance.

In this video, Mr. Ireland notes that Barnett Shale natural gas production generates 70,000 jobs directly and many more indirectly and contributes tens of billions of dollars to the economy. Furthermore, while 70% of all energy consumed by the U.S. is imported, 97% of all natural gas consumed in the U.S. is produced in the U.S. making the U.S. independent in its natural gas production.

The Barnett Shale has become one of the biggest natural gas plays and drilling booms in the continental United States and is the largest producing gas field in Texas.
