Tix Corporation Dissolves Special Committee

  Tix Corporation (the "Company") (OTCQX: TIXC), a leading provider of discount ticketing services, today announced that the Special Committee formed in June 2012 to consider the subsequently withdrawn acquisition proposal received from Mitch Francis, the Company's Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer and to analyze strategic alternatives for the Company, has concluded its analysis of strategic alternatives, including soliciting third parties regarding their potential interest in acquiring the Company. Upon the unanimous recommendation of the Special Committee, the Board of Directors dissolved the Special Committee with no action taken as a result of the Special Committee's review. The Board of Directors continues to explore other means to maximize shareholder value.
