LAS VEGAS, NV , a well-rounded Mixed Martial Arts ("MMA") company, announces that Nick "The Goat" Thompson will be fighting on July 26th on CBS primetime for the EliteXC welterweight title. His opponent will be Jake Shields, live on CBS -- Saturday, July 26th in Sacramento, California.

Nick Thompson is the BodogFight welterweight champion and is riding a 12 fight win streak with impressive wins over UFC vet Chris Wilson and power puncher Eddie Alvarez. "Jake Shields will be the toughest fight in Thompson's career," states TFZ president Lloyd Vickers. Jake Shields is considered by many as the 2nd best welterweight in the world only behind GSP. Shields hasn't lost in over 4 years with wins over Mike Pyle and current WEC champ Carlos Condit.
