Former U.S. Secretary of Education William Bennett and Dr. Frank Luntz To Host Panel Discussions on The Dangers of Cyber-bullying with Local Parents, Educators and Law Enforcement Officers

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Safe Communications, Inc. (Pink Sheets: SGTB.pk – News) announced today that its town hall meeting and focus group on cyber-bullying will be shown live via streaming video tonight at 8:30 PM EST/ 6:30 PM MT at www.safecommunications.com.

On the heels of newly proposed anti-bullying legislation and hearings in Arizona, the meeting will address the challenges of cyber-bullying and what should be done to protect families and children from this growing threat to individual safety.  Hosted by Dr. William J. Bennett, former U.S. Secretary of Education, and Dr. Frank Luntz, New York Times bestselling author and renowned pollster, the meeting will be attended by some of Arizona's highest ranking officials, including Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne and Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction John Huppenthal.

Recently, the prevalence of cyber-bullying has caught the attention of Arizona state lawmakers, who have introduced bills in the legislature to address the problem. House Bill 2580 and Senate Bill 1549, sponsored by Rep. Katie Hobbs, D-Phoenix, and Sen. David Schapira, D-Tempe, would require schools to prohibit cyber-bullying. House Bill 2415, sponsored by Rep. Kimberly Yee, R-Phoenix, would strengthen the requirement that school officials document incidents of cyber-bullying and would expand the definition of bullying to include harassing communications, such as emails, text messages, and posts on social networking sites.

The discussions, sponsored by Safe Communications, Inc., the leader in secure advanced technology for family communication, and its non-profit group, StandAgainstBullying.org, will take place at the North Canyon High School in Phoenix at 6:30 p.m. MT.

The event will be streamed live on the internet for parents, children and the media at www.safecommunications.com , and will begin at 8:30 PM EST/ 6:30 PM MT.
