-- The deal to purchase Boeing E-7 Wedgetail jets could be more than $1 billion, the report said.
-- European jet maker Airbus may team up with Sweden's Saab to offer an alternate proposal, and might not rule out a legal challenge, the report said, citing "a person close to the matter."
